Prêt-à-Makeup

an app that surprises with realism

The first app was downloaded more than 5.5 million times, with users spread over 150 countries, a global success in the App Store. Now the Prêt-à-Template startup pushes the boundaries of fashion creation into the creative makeup universe. "After all, they are very connected universes," says Roberta Weiand, Fashion Designer and CEO of the company.

Following this same framework of thought uniting the digital and manual experience for creative development, the Prêt-à-Makeup app provides a realistic experience to test products, plan, record, and share makeup ideas. The current method used by the makeup artist community is the so-called Face Chat. In theory, they are templates of faces printed on paper, in which the product is applied, registering the makeup creations.

With Prêt-à-Makeup, users turn iPad and iPhone devices into face chart pads with unlimited pages. There are more than 1000 make-up products accessible at anytime, anywhere: foundation, concealer, highlighting, powder, blush, pencils, lipsticks, shadows, eyeliners, and eyelashes. A multitude of options for artists to create.

Surprise yourself with the textures and see how they react to light and screen movement. Cream, matte, gloss, metallic, and glitter so realistic they seem to drip off the screen. Users get access to selected tools when downloading the app for free. By subscribing to one of the Prêt-à-Makeup plans - monthly or yearly –, they gain full access to all of the features, and also support the constant improvement of this project.

There were countless attempts, but no digital face chart app has managed to get past the old block of paper. The virtual/digital brushes did not come close to the actual texture of the products. And it is with this insight that Prêt-à-Makeup surprises and stands as a pioneer.

Launched worldwide in the 2019, the app has today more than 1000 makeup products separated in themed kits, in order to help in the pre-selection of colors and textures, so that the user can build the look in a faster and easy way. An example is the "Cat Noir" kit, to create the perfect cat eye look; "Mermaid Forever", for the mermaid look; or "Essential", for a simple everyday look. Just like real-life makeup releases, the Prêt-à-Makeup app launches a new monthly kit for its subscribers.
